Privacy

Last updated 15 October 2026.

This notice says what MuniStage keeps about you, why, for how long, and how to have it removed. MuniStage, LLC (“MuniStage,” “we” or “us”) owns and operates munistage.com and is responsible for the personal information described here. Only MuniStage, LLC and the administrators it appoints can see that information.

What we keep about you

Visitors to the front page

When you open munistage.com without signing in, we count the visit: the day, whether you clicked "Get early access" or "Beta login", and the website that sent you here if your browser tells us. We do not keep your internet address or your name for this; you are counted with a scrambled code that changes every day and cannot be traced back to you. These counts are kept for 90 days, then deleted.

Facebook ads and the Meta pixel

MuniStage advertises on Facebook and Instagram. To see which ads work, the public pages (the front page, the city and venue pages, Terms and this page) carry the Meta pixel, a small piece of code from Meta, the company that runs Facebook. It is not on the sign-in page or any signed-in page, and it is not sent to anyone who is signed in.

When it runs, your browser sends Meta: the page you opened, the time, your internet address, your browser and device type, and Meta's own cookies (named _fbp, and _fbc if you came from an ad). If you send an early access request, it also tells Meta that a request was made, both from your browser and from our server (the server sends your internet address, browser type and the same Meta cookies, if your browser sent them); neither sends your name, email or anything you typed. Meta may link this to your Facebook or Instagram account and use it under its own privacy policy.

We use it only to count what our ads bring in and to show our ads to people who have visited. To stop it: turn on "Global Privacy Control" in your browser (MuniStage then never loads the pixel), block third-party cookies or use an ad blocker, or change your choices in Facebook's ad settings.

X ads and the X pixel

MuniStage also advertises on X (formerly Twitter). The same public pages carry the X pixel, a small piece of code from X Corp. Like the Meta pixel, it is not on the sign-in page or any signed-in page, and it is not sent to anyone who is signed in.

When it runs, your browser sends X: the page you opened, the time, your internet address, your browser and device type, and X's own cookies, including a code showing you came from an X ad if you did. If you send an early access request, it also tells X that a request was made; it does not send your name, email or anything you typed. X may link this to your X account and use it under its own privacy policy.

We use it only to count what our ads bring in and to show our ads to people who have visited. To stop it: turn on "Global Privacy Control" in your browser (MuniStage then loads neither pixel), block third-party cookies or use an ad blocker, or change your choices in X's ad settings.

Information about people and venues on MuniStage

The venues, shows, cities, agencies and bookers listed on MuniStage, and the contact details with them, come from public ticket sellers and public government pages. We list them to help acts and agents do their booking work. If you are listed and want your entry corrected or removed, write to [email protected] and say which entry.

Why

To run MuniStage, to keep it working well, and to protect it from being copied or shared. Every page you see also carries your email and the date as a faint mark, for the same reason. Administrators are not tracked this way.

How long

The record of what you do and your time on the site is kept for 90 days, then deleted. Your account, choices, saved things and tour sales are kept while your account is open and are deleted when it is closed. An early access request is kept until you ask us to delete it or you get an account.

Who sees it

Only the people who run MuniStage. We do not sell it, and we do not share it unless the law requires us to. The only outside companies that receive anything are Meta and X, and only from the public pages through the pixels described above; nothing about your account or what you do while signed in goes to either.

Where it is kept, and who carries it

On MuniStage's own computer. A locked (encrypted) copy is made each night for safe keeping and may be stored in a private folder on Google Drive. The site's traffic passes through Cloudflare, which carries the connection to us and sees the pages you open. The text styles on each page are loaded from Google Fonts, so your browser contacts Google to get them.

Cookies and your browser

One cookie keeps you signed in. It holds a random code, not your name, and lasts up to 30 days or until you sign out. Your browser also remembers a few display choices, such as day or night. On the public pages, when you are not signed in, the Meta pixel and the X pixel set those companies' advertising cookies, described above. The signed-in pages have no advertising cookies.

Security

Connections to MuniStage are encrypted, passwords are scrambled, and the nightly copy is locked. No system is perfectly safe, and we cannot promise that nothing will ever go wrong.

Children

MuniStage is for working music and booking people. It is not meant for anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly keep information about them.

Your choices

You can ask to see what we keep about you, to have it corrected, or to have your account closed and everything about it deleted, by writing to [email protected]. Copies in the nightly backup are replaced as old backups are removed, which takes up to 30 nights.

Changes

When this notice changes, the date at the top changes. For a change we think is important, signed-in users may also be asked to agree to the Terms again the next time they sign in.
